Altitude, a leading Carbon Removal Financier, has committed to procuring over 425,000 tons of CO₂ Removal Certificates (CORCs) from Engrow's biochar-based carbon removal (CDR) facilities in Southern India. The credits will be issued on Puro.earth or equivalent methodologies, ensuring high-integrity verification and traceability. The biochar facilities, operating under strict sustainability and verification standards, utilize pyrolysis technology to convert agricultural residues into biochar CDR while delivering additional environmental and agronomic benefits through biochar application. Engrow's integrated platform is designed for rapid deployment across India's rich biomass landscape.

The Engrow team emphasized that this partnership accelerates the deployment of high-quality large-scale CDR capacity, bringing long-term climate benefits while creating local economic value for farmers and rural communities across Tamil Nadu and the broader Southern Indian region.
